Mike Clay, Rick Wolf selected for FSWA Hall of Fame
The Fantasy Sports Writers Association is pleased to announce Rick Wolf and Mike Clay as our 2024 Hall of Fame class. They were chosen by our six-member Hall committee. Wolf has been a leader in the fantasy industry for nearly four decades, advancing the careers of countless analysts. Clay has been one of fantasy's most versatile, engaging and high-profile analysts for over 15 years. For each of them, this honor is long overdue.
Wolf got started in fantasy in the 1980s as part of the team at Prodigy that produced Baseball Manager, the first online fantasy sports game. He was an early employee of SportsLine USA, where he forged relationships and partnerships with MLB and NFL. Wolf later became EVP of strategic partnerships for Allstar Stats, owner of Rotoworld, where he developed relationships with many media platforms and professional leagues. He was instrumental in the sale of Allstar Stats to NBC Universal. From 2006 to 2011, Wolf was the director of business development for NBC Sports Digital.
Wolf is also a founding board member of the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association. He served as both the organization's treasurer and chairman. He was the president of Fantasy Alarm from 2014 to 2021 and the SVP of business partnerships for Spotlight Sports Group until 2023. Additionally, Wolf is a longtime host on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and an accomplished fantasy player, winner of multiple LABR and Tout Wars titles in partnership with Glenn Colton. Over the years, Wolf has launched and furthered the careers of innumerable fantasy analysts, including many of the industry's most familiar names.
Clay has been a senior writer for ESPN since 2016, primarily covering the NFL, fantasy football and betting, as well as NASCAR and F1. He's made countless live appearances on the network and been a co-host of Fantasy Football Now and the Fantasy Focus Football Podcast. His projections have powered ESPN's fantasy football game for the past decade.
Prior to joining ESPN, Clay was the founder and managing editor of Pro Football Focus Fantasy. His player projections were used by many platforms simultaneously, including Yahoo and RT Sports. He's been a content contributor at Rotoworld, Athlon, SiriusXM and various other outlets. Clay has won accuracy competitions and multiple high-profile fantasy championships, and his coaching tree includes several winners of FSWA writing awards.
We look forward to celebrating the careers of Wolf and Clay during our annual awards show on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio this spring.
