Early next year, the FSWA will recognize the inaugural class of the Fantasy Writers’ Hall of Fame. Induction will be for fantasy writers who have excelled and contributed in a variety of ways to the industry.

Mike Beacom, President and Chairman of the FSWA, said, “One of the primary functions of this organization is to recognize those who’ve helped to advance the editorial part of the industry. This Hall of Fame will become home to those publishers, editors, writers and leaders who have set the bar higher for others.”

To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of service in the industry. Each candidate will be asked to complete an online form that will later be judged by a selection committee made up of FSWA members. Said Beacom, the FSWA is currently accepting applications from members interested in serving on the Hall of Fame selection committee.

Organized in 2004, the Fantasy Sports Writers Association is committed to promoting journalistic excellence in the fantasy sports industry. Each spring the organization recognizes the industry’s finest work through its fantasy writing awards.
